If you wish to have your Attendease-hosted website findable on Google search you must take some steps to index the site with Google Search Console.

  1. Sign in with your Google account

  2. You must select whether to use the "Domain" method (for all websites under a particular domain) or the "URL Prefix" method (for a particular website). This example will use the "URL Prefix" method.

4. Enter the full URL of the website including the protocol (https://) into the URL field.

5. Google will ask you to verify ownership. Select the "HTML tag" option.

6. Copy the meta tag. It will look like this: <meta name="google-site-verification" content="iS5dLwFi8o7tP6MDgoGFtXuN0CamP6R_3OL8_6yA" />

7. Navigate to your Attendease event dashboard. Select the Website module, then the General Settings menu item. Then select the "Scripts" tab. Paste the meta tag into the "Custom Head Script" field.

8. Republish your website.

9. Return to Google Search Console. Then select "Done" to dismiss the modal.

10. From the top, left-hand corner of the screen, select the dropdown that lists the properties you manage.

11. Then select the property (website) you just added.

12. You should see confirmation that the ownership of the property was verified.

13. It can take a day or so for the indexing to complete. Monitor this dashboard to see the results.
